You frantically search/look/dig through every pocket/your bag/all your belongings, but there’s no sign/they’re gone/you can't find them. Your car, sitting innocently/calmly/right there, is now a steel and glass fortress.
The engine won't turn over/It refuses to start/There's nothing but silence from the usually-reliable motor. You’re left feeling frustrated/defeated/stranded, wishing you had listened to your intuition/paid more attention/been more careful. It’s a classic locked my car keys inside the car scenario, one that has happened to the best of us/tested our patience countless times/become a nightmare for many.
Trapped Inside My Vehicle
The vehicle suddenly came to a standstill. I tried the handle, but it wouldn't move. Panic began to creep inside me as I figured out I was imprisoned inside.

I Can't Believe It Happened Again
This predicament is so frustrating. Every week/month/day, I find myself that my keys are in the trunk/backseat/front seat of my car/vehicle/automobile. It's like a curse.
